In case your child develops scarlet fever, make sure it remains home and avoid contact with other children, as the infection is contagious. Also, you need to separate its toothbrush and cutlery from the ones of the other family members.

The infection requires a 10-day treatment with antibiotics, and even if the symptoms disappear, continue with the medication. The child can return to school 24 hours after the symptoms have passed.

You should never leave bacteria untreated, as it might cause additional issues, related to the heart, kidneys, and other body organs.
